ういろ・ないろ

「青柳ういろう」と「大須ういろ」が有名ですが、どちらも「やわらかい甘さ」と「もちっとした食感」が特徴的な和菓子です。処で「ういろう」という名前の由来は、鎌倉時代の陳宗敬という人が、中国・元から伝えた「透頂香」(とんちんこう)という薬を、この人の役職名をとって「外郎(ういろう)薬」と呼ぶようになったとか。
